Requirements for Instrument Rating
1) Forms: CA61-11.4 Instrument Rating (Original)
Total PIC, Grand Total and Total Instrument Flying hours must be completed on page 1.
New Requirement – Logbook endorsement will no longer be accepted next to the flight test entry and must be done in the back of the logbook from 1 February 2019. All ratings must be accompanied with the correct endorsement and test entry.
- Logbook Copies of the last 3 pages incl. 12 Month Summary (Incl. Test Entry Endorsement of the last Revalidation of his/her Licence, Endorsement of all Class/Type Ratings/Instrument Ratings)
(Electronic Logbooks must be initialled by applicant on each page
Detailed Summary – Summary of Hours Flown the last 12 Months …01/09/2019 – 30/09/2020 – Dates must be indicated as the last 12 months “From- To Dates”)

3) Valid RSA Medical – CPL & ATPL Class 1
If Applicant is renewing an instrument rating, a renewal fee will be requested.
